What to do in Rosarito

It is difficult to say why, but the fact is that Rosarito Beach is family friendly.  While some city’s boast romance and some gastronomy, Rosarito is, quite simply, a big playground where the beach is a big, fun playground.  From oceanfront horseback riding, to kite-flying, to fishing, so much of what there is to do in Rosarito is about surg, sand and sun.  But, if the rays get too much, there is shopping, too, amongst the city’s many stores and stalls and within some of Baja’s most charming art galleries.  All of this is not to say that Rosarito Beach doesn’t have an adult side:  It does.  Famous for dance clubs, like Papas & Beer, Rosarito has a rockin’ night life and even two casinos.  And of course, there is the famous Rosarito-Ensenada bike race, held twice annually, that began in 1979, and has thousands of participants.  It’s a casual town, with easy things to do, and friendly people to welcome you.  So, as the proprietor of one of the city’s most popular restaurants, Tapanco, says, “Why not?”
